UBC Reads Sustainability is a speaker series that invites well-known authors to engage in campus and community-wide discussions. It’s part book club, part lecture series, and part opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. It aims to further the education of students in sustainability topics that may not be covered in regular coursework.
In 2024, Edith Lando VLC collaborated with UBC Reads Sustainability to bring former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, Jody Wilson-Raybould, to the UBC Vancouver Campus and virtually to the UBC Okanagan Campus.
Jody Wilson-Raybould engaged in a moderated discussion about her book, True Reconciliation: How to be a Force for Change.
