Keynote facilitator
Jennifer Reddy
First elected as Trustee to the Vancouver School Board in October 2018, Jennifer Reddy (she/her) was re-elected to the Board in the 2022 municipal election. Jennifer’s ‘other’ job is as a Senior Social Planner with the City of Vancouver focusing on the design and process of education, public engagement and policy. Here, Ms. Reddy leads policy development, public education, dialogue, and socio-cultural programming on anti-racism, multiculturalism, decolonization and cultural redress.
Jennifer is also a member of the Resilience BC Anti-racism network, and a founding member of EDMECO, a non-profit , youth centered organization supporting new and immigrant youth. Jennifer holds a Masters in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics, a Bachelors in Development Studies from the University of Calgary and a Certificate in Curriculum Development and Instructional Design from Mount Royal University.
Together, as Trustee, Social Planner, and Community Member, Jennifer works to understand the connections between social conditions and student learning.
