Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology, and Special Education

Dr. Janet Jamieson is the first recipient of the Edith Lando Virtual Learning Centre’s (VLC) Digital Pedagogy Lab Grant!

Dr. Jamieson seeks to improve the accessibility of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Basic Certificate Program to adult learners who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) and infusing DHH content and activities wherever possible for people wishing to work with DHH children. The project seeks to revise the delivery and evaluation formats of the existing online ECE Basic Certificate Program and create a prototype that meets the visual and language learning needs of DHH adults.

The Edith Lando VLC Digital Pedagogy Lab Grant provides funding for initiatives that align with the mission and intended audience of the Edith Lando VLC. Projects should address the Edith Lando VLC’s thematic priorities while aligning with UBC’s broader strategic objectives, and /or the Faculty of Education’s strategic plan.
